TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS

IF THE CLOCK FACE READS 18:88

1. This occurs because the program has been overloaded or tampered with
2. Set the Mode Switch to the "Review Program" position, hit the "on" switch and hit the "Clear" button a couple of times, repeat this step until the clock face reads 00:00. If that does not work, go to next step.
3. Unplug the timer from electrical outlet.
4. Remove the battery from the bottom of the timer. If the battery doesn't seem to want to come out, CAREFULLY use a screwdriver and pry off.
5. Once you have let the timer sit unplugged for 30 seconds, plug the timer back into the electrical outlet.
6. Return the 9-Volt battery back to the timer.
7. Now the timer must be reprogrammed.
8. Refer to the Programming Clock instructions and then the Program Timer instructions.

IF YOUR LIGHTS WILL NOT COME ON:

1.Try to manually turn the lights on using the correct on/off switch
2. Check the "Selector" switch (top right corner of timer) to verify it's in the 1-4 position. If the selector switch is in the 5-8 position, the time will not work.
3. Check all GFI (ground fault interrupters) outlets in the house to see if they have been tripped. This will sometimes cause a circuit in the house to go dead. This will usually occur after a rain or snow storm. In most cases, it is the closest GFI outlet to the transformer.
4. Sometimes Lighting Designs' systems are hooked in with a wall switch, in order for the lights to work the switch MUST be flipped ON!!!
5. Try moving the timer to a new outlet. Sometimes electrical circuits are overloaded and the system has difficulty reacting.
6. If all else fails, call Lighting Designs to report the problem.
