Maintaining
Your Outdoor Lighting System...
- When
mulch or pine needles are spread in the natural areas make sure not
to cover any light fixtures. Landscapers often seem to have little
regard for outdoor lighting systems and they simply cover lights with
mulch. This is a potential hazard because covering the lights traps
in the heat and can cause the lights to melt. Make sure to notify
your landscaper about this.
- Yearly,
clean the lenses of the bullet lights and the glass bulbs on the wells
lights with a vinegar solution. This will remove hard water deposits.
- When
necessary, prune bushes so that the light is not blocked, abstracting
the lighting effect that was desired. Also, when necessary, remove
leaves and debris that may have fallen into the well lights.
- If
you ever have any problems with your lighting system, please feel
free to give us a call at 1-877-7-LITE-ON. Also, you can go to our
website www.Lighting-Designs.com and click on the "Current Customer"
link for trouble shooting instructions. If any bulbs go out before
1 year, we will replace them for free!
- Every
2 to 3 years it is recommended that all the bulbs be replaced to ensure
that a brilliant light is produced. Over time, the bulbs can fade.
- Keep
in mind that we offer service contracts to help you maintain your
lighting system and keep it looking as good as the first day it was
installed.
